Our Unique Approach
Texas Private Academy combines the flexibility of homeschooling with the structure of formal schooling, empowering parents to actively engage in their child’s education journey.
Welcome to Texas Private Academy. Texas Private Academy (TPA) is an outreach ministry of Victory Christian Church located at 7504 West Seventh Street, Texarkana, Texas 75501. TPA is a coalition of families who desire to be directly and personally involved in their children’s education.
In addition to home-based educational time as independent homeschoolers, families will enjoy the option of joining together for group education and enrichment classes. Group educational class options are available on the basis of two, three, or four meetings per week at a convenient and safe location. Each family will pay a low tuition fee based on which option is chosen. Together, we pledge ourselves to support and assist one another in the delivery of a quality and excellent educational experience so that each child will become a high achiever in their attainment of knowledge, “No child left behind” is more than a slogan to us but is rather a stated goal so that every child will have the best chance at life success.
We believe that children are gifts from God and not government.
Therefore, we accept the responsibility for their education and training in order to equip them with the life skills needed in order to function in life and succeed. We take heed to the scriptural mandate as stated in Deuteronomy 6:4-7 “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one! 5) You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. 6) “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. 7) You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up”. In other words, parenting is a full-time responsibility and encompasses every aspect of a child’s development and certainly includes their education. Simply stated, proper education is one of the major keys to succeeding in life. Therefore, TPA exists as an umbrella of support and mutual interest to assist families in the educational process of their child(ren). To accomplish this goal, we join together as a community of parental-educators to help facilitate the ever-increasing need for knowledge of each child. Drawing from the wisdom, talents, and knowledge from each parent-educator, we lend ourselves to help one another in order to accomplish the furtherance of each child’s education. We believe that we are best served when we operate under the mantra, “it takes a Village!”

While each family will exercise their own choice for curriculum, our Director is available to help inform parents concerning age-appropriate and quality materials to aid in their homeschooling.
Parents need to carefully consider the curriculum chosen in order to be sure that the materials chosen are in keeping with their family values and goals, Let us remember, that our children will rise and meet the expectations that we set for them.
